SPX / SPY Large Timeframe Target

SPYSPXDailyWeeklyMonthlyIndex/ETF

SPX Target Analysis

Since 2008 financial crisis, SPX has been moving in a fairly predictable pattern, i.e. moving up according to weekly bullish signals and pulling back according to daily/weekly bearish signals.

Since there are too many of them, I will demonstrate start with recent ones.

2020 Covid Crush

2020 Crash touched TP2 of weekly bearish signal (red one) and bounced back, triggered a bullish weekly signal (purple), and has since continuously moved up and finally topped TP3 4726.86 in 2022.

2022 Bear Market

2022 bear market was nothing but a daily bearish signal down to TP3 (yellow one in the left). Then it bounced back and triggered a bullish weekly signal (purple one afterwards) and moved up since then, then eventually hit TP3 in 2025.

2025 Tariff Crash

The tariff crash is composed of 2 daily bearish signal relayed back to back. But after the second one is fully realized, it bounced back up and triggered another weekly bullish signal, whose TP3 is not yet achieved. That will be our large timeframe target for SPX in 2027 and we shall expect a pretty significant pullback or even bear market afterwards.

However, there will be violent ups & downs in this journey, for more real-time analysis, please check out paid posts around smaller timeframes.
